SAFE REMOVAL There are some instances where a tooth cannot be saved and needs to be removed. These are teeth that are diseased, crowding way too closely, or have been damaged by trauma and can't be fixed.
We offer safe extractions at Perimenis Dental Group. Our dentists will try to make the procedure as comfortable as possible by numbing that area, so you don't feel anything.
The extraction will be performed quickly. Some small amounts of bleeding are to be expected, but nothing that is dangerous. We will give you a post extracted regimen after you leave our office.
SPEEDING UP RECOVERY Once you're home, you may live with a little bit of discomfort in the area of the extraction for a few days. We recommend using a cold compress to lessen swelling. We can also provide you with pain medication if we feel it's necessary. Be careful brushing and flossing near the extracted tooth as this could result in pain.
Other tips to remember after a tooth extraction include: - No smoking - Avoid using a straw for at least a day - Stick to a recommended diet from your dentist - Use your best judgement when it comes to the inside of your mouth
